“Business Continuity Planning” is a whiteboard animation done by Jeremy Domby of Magenta Tech for the retail banking company, MetaBank. Armando Vega was brought in to write, perform, record, and arrange a backing track to accompany the dialogue and visual animation shown in the video.

The challenge was to make a professional music experience that — while interesting to listen to — would not distract from the message of the video. Once in the recording room, several guitar riffs, bass-lines, and chord progressions were taken to then arrange in post-production. Live drumming software was used to accompany the guitar and were then timed alongside the finished video to ensure the two went hand-in-hand.

Jeremy Domby’s animation setting the tone MetaBank had wished to achieve with Armando Vega’s track to match resulted in a video left the client impressed and satisfied. The end product is only the start to an ongoing production for MetaBank’s informative whiteboard animation videos.
